Andrew I believe you are right about the post.. I do like the sound of the French Horn. I am mainly an organist/ pianist.. and tutor voice also. Take Care

    Hi again Andrey.
I guess your studies are in the Classical field but there have been excellent Jazz players using your instrument (French Horn)

    OLDUDE,
my "official" studies are in classical field indeed, but I also play in sympho-jazz-fusion orchestra. We`ll probably play together with Shilkloper this summer.

By the way, can I post a link to my music here? Or I should do it only in special thread?

    This group is weird...
    I love Russian music.

I went to Moscow twice. In 1970 I went to the Glinka museum and met Shostakovich's sister in law...Finally I met Dmitri Shostakovich and had a cup of tea with him. He was very polite but sick. I was 17 years old. We spoke about many things...He asked me what was the thing I preferred, I said Katerina Izmailova...He told me "good choice...me too, I love this opera."...He was charming, his English was not very good and my Russian was very poor, actually it is better, I'm studying Russian.

I know nobody will read this.

You're wrong, Martin; I read this post by you and find it fascinating! You had a once in a lifetime opportunity of meeting a world renowned composer and nobody will ever be able to take that away from you. Congratulations indeed. wk
