    Composer Introduction

    Hi everyone,

I am a San Francisco-based composer and music producer. I am currently working on my 7th symphony for my 11th CD. I've scored music for dance, film, computer games, concerts, CDs, documentaries and animation. I am definitely an artistic "mutt", in the sense that I combine a contemporary classical aesthetic with the electronic medium, using sample libraries, computers and synthesizers to produce my music. I also teach classical music theory and composition from my studio. The most well-known project I've written for is "The Adventures of Gumby", an animated TV series produced in the late 1980s. For the past 15 years however, my interest has been in writing art music with no formal restrictions on content and form other than the ones I make.

    Welcome Jerry,
I used to love the Hollwood films which played scenes with truly cool Jazz solos.
Have you been involved with that type of thing in your career?
(Yes, I do know that HW is in LA not in San Fran.)
