That is dreadful, how could anyone do that. The fact that nobody noticed seems incredible. If you can't trust your accountant, who can you trust.

Makes one wonder how many other professional music organizations this occurs in that don't get written up in the press. There are lots of unscrupulous out there in today's society ... take our politicians, for example ...... that's a subject for another time and forum area - don't want to get myself reported, ya know ...

Actually, to be serious, it's a despicable thing he did AND even more horrendous that the LPO didn't either have or follow a protocol for the checking of expenditure. I hope the little mongrel ends up at "Her Majesty's Pleasure" for many, many years contemplating where his 30s and 40s dissapeared too.
I'm not an atheist and I don't think I can call myself a pantheist. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many different languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn't know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God.

I agree CT, he should be suitably punished. He had a great job and he blew it, all because of greed.

I concur ... that cretin should be made to walk the plank for sure AND pay it all back - every penny.
