    Stop List

    Hi all!

I have registrated on this forum recently but I was visiting it before.
Thanks to you all I've made my own ODF.

Although I would like to know if you know any site where I can download for free the wav files of the following stops:

    - Contre Bombarde 32' (or something that looks like it)
    - Cor de Nuit
    - Dulzian
    - GrossUntersatz/ContreBourdon/ContrePrincipal 32'
    - Muted Trumpet
    - Unda Maris/Meerflöte
    - Regal
    - Vox Humaine
    - Vox Celeste
    - Zimbel

When I have the ODF ready, I will post it here.

Again I thank you all for the work that you have developed in this forum.
(Sorry for some errors of english that you may find in my text)

    Hi lombardo,

Welcome aboard! Please do make yourself feel very much at home here.

You can visit www.organstops.org for sound files of pipes.

    Cheers,

    Hi,
An Unda Maris can be made by creating a second set of wave files from soft stop and detuning them slightly flat.... a celeste can be made the same way with soft string stop being detuned slightly sharp.
The Stiehr Mockers Jeuxdorgues2 has a 32 Subbas, not quite a Bourdon... I don't know of any free Vox Humanas for GrandOrgue, but I'm working on a Theater Organ sample set that has a Vox (with and without Trem) so there will be one sometime later this year....
It might be possible to create a 'Muted Trumpet' through graphical equalization of a Trompette stop..?
I don't know of a free Cor de Nuit.

    Hope that helps :-)

    Wellcome Lombardo !
Glad you 've got your own ODF. Me still workin'on...
Try get the Jeux v.1,4 .sf2 soundfond banks (2x128presets) created by W.McCoy back in 2000. I can't remember where I free downloaded them, but try with google search, that's how I started lookin' for them. You 'll find most of what you want inside, given that you like the sound of course !
Next go to the link below, at P.C.Stratman virtual organs. They got some good dispositions for jOrgan. If you download the files you can extract only the sf2 banks of them (they offer two Silbermanns from Dresden-destroyed in WWII- among others) and use them as you like.
    I hope i helped

    Hi again,

Corno Dloce, I wasn't talking about arpeggios ou melodies, I was talking about samples for MyOrgan where we need all the pipes separetly.

ggoode.sa, could you tell me more about that way of creating stops? What do I need to do it?
I've already downloaded Jeux d'orgues 2 but I wanna something more defined: a principal 32'. The subass in Jeux d'orgues is very good but I wanna have a variety.

Ghekorg7, I've never tried jorgan but it looks good. Although I was talking about Myorgan

Ok Lombardo. I have MyOrgan too. Advice : go download GrandOrgue v.2 ! Its an evolution of MyOrgan, works better, has more polyphony ect and better sets among other things. Please see here other posts regarding GrandOrgue ! There is a multi-instance version also. Ggoode.sa gives the links. Try it and post here again if you like.
P.S. I 've done a small rec with GrandOrgue and uploaded here in the forum yesterday
    Best regards

    Hi again Lombardo,
I forgot to tell you that you can separate stops from sf2 banks with Viena sf editor (you can see the full samle - waveform - the loop ect). Then you can use it as you like. Free download it from SynthFont site.
    I hope it helps

    Hi Guys,
A rank in GrandOrgue is made up of one wave file per pipe note. Take a look inside the subdirectories of the location that the .organ file is in and you will see the wave files. They are all named according to the MIDI note that will trigger them (so the lowest C is 036-C.wav, middle C is 060-C.wav, etc.).
Using a text editor (Notepad will do), open the .organ file and find the section that deals with the ranks. Notice that each note is defined and a computer path is given to each of the wave files. This is how GrandOrgue loads and plays each note of the Rank.
So, to make a new Rank from an existing one, copy the whole subdirectory. Change each wave file in the new subdirectory (for adjusting the pitch of each note I'd suggest a program like Wavosaur) and then create a new Rank definition in the .organ file that references the new notes...
That's the basics... give it a try and if you need more tips/help just ask!

    Hi lombardo,
The Multi-instance version allows you to have up to eight GrandOrgue 'instances' loaded at one time, allowing eight different .organ files loaded at once (all running through the Jack Audio Connection Kit). It is a more advanced option than the usual single instance route, but we're here to help!
