VPOs with no samples

Hi to all !

There are some virtual pipe organs in stand alone and VST versions that don't use samples from real pipe organs, instead they're physical modeled.

I liked an Italian organ made from an old organ in an Insbruk Austria church.
Can be tuned in A415 (Baroque) and with different temperaments (Lehman-Bach is one of the options, also Rameau's!)
Have built in reverb and other facilities.There's a portativ free gift (like it much)

I think they are good for beginners and lovers of all kind of organs.
Have a look and tell me what you think.

Interesting small organs.. I remember one similar in a catholic church back home. Was fun to play.

Hi Bill, hi David, thanks for your posts.
In a way I expected your interest on new things.

I have done some experimentation with them. it's interisting how close these guys went to the real sound with no samples at all. especialy in grand opus V, where there's a great Principale 8' stop, the very Italian one.

Ok I;ll tell you what I did with the small portatif.

First I started playin' with my pc's keyboard in my law office..!(he he) It's relaxing in a break!

2nd I started thinkin' whitch pieces of music can one play with just two flute stops 8' & 4'..
and played some Pachelbell on a small 49keyboard. I enjoyed the simplicity of it.

3rd. I put it in VSTHost and made two more of it (clones...!) and had the first transposed one oct down(16') ~ to pedalboard, second as it is(8')along with third one oct up to manual. I ended with a different organ. Imagine how many other combinations can be made with the other models (Positivs III&IV and OpusV)....

I have found one serius drawback though. The Bass frequencies...Physical modeling is based on pure digital things and digital when goes to low freq becomes thin.... and not at all... physical.

Anyway I think these organs are a nice addition to our growing collection and offer another kind of enjoyment.

Thanks for posting this. There are some nice sounding organs. I should point out that they are not using Physical Modeling but Digital Synthesis (google 'additive synthesis' for a better overview). Many of the jOrgan soundfonts use the same method of sound creation to create the samples, and many of them have awesome sounds too
'Physical Modeling' re-creates the sound of a pipe organ by using mathematics to model the flow of wind through a mathematically defined 'pipe' and uses a lot of CPU power for just one pipe...

MEA CULPA...... maybe I was doin' something with physical modelling (the exellent Organized Trio aka Hammond B3/C3 and MrRay 22 el. Pianos).
I mean to say digital synthesis, that's why I pointed the low freq drawback..

I used to programm pipe organ sounds this way (digital synthesis) before sample teck came along, with YamahaTX81-z & DX100... and a little later with Kurzweil PXA1000 and Kawai K1r using them as digital synthesizers and not as sample(mono) players. I still got them loaded with these sounds. My thinking was
that the real pipe organ is the first additive synthesizer in the world.....!

Then too, when I attempted to make a low oct pipe, mostly for pedalboard, the sound became weak and thin...but otherwise I reached high level of closeness to original, for manual stops (exellent reed stops..).
