    Radio stations

Are there any stations (which I can pick up on my steam raio) which broadcast good jazz. I started listenin to AFN in Germany as a young teenager which first got me interested in Jazz. What happened to jazzfm?

    Where are you based Teddy?

    http://www.jazzfm.com/

If you are in UK, USA or Germany you can get last.fm free on line, select your preferred albums and the music is streamed to your PC. another similar site is Spotify.

Thank you all for your help and information but I would like to listen on the radio rather than on my computer, which would be inconvienient at home, and distracting in the office. I live in Kent and have not found any stations up to now. Any suggestions?

I know zilch about radio, but the google reference I gave includes the following which I think could be radio wavelengths to check out for jazz programmes on radio.
101.6 FM - All that Jazz
88.9 FM - WDNA Serious Jazz
    91.1 FM - KCSM Jazz
    88.1 FM - KNTU Jazz
    88.3FM - KSDS - San Diago Jazz

    Might be worth a look

    Cheers John

John, I suspect the stations starting with a K are in USA so wouldn't be much use to Teddy in Kent. 101.6 won't be UK either, Classic FM is on that part of the spectrum

broadcasts on DAB, also on Sky and Freesat as well as on line
    Cheers MIKE.

Thank you John and Mike. I have just found out that some DAB radios can pick up the internet stations as well so I am investigating that. Many thanks
