Hi,
In a similar setup to Panos (Hauptwerk VSTi and EWQL Symphonic Orchestra in Reaper) here is an improvisation for Trumpet and Organ played by Andre Nel (my partner)

The organ is my free 4M/P English Cathedral for Hauptwerk see (

I'm looking forward to hearing more from Panos

Hi Everyone!
I realize it's been a
LONG time since I've been around, but life events have gotten in the way and left me with no time to spend on this wonderful forum. Those that know me know that I tend to ramble one.... and that means that no visit to MIMF can be a short one for me. There has been so much that has happened in the more than a year since my last visit. I have been doing research into my family tree the past several years and that seems to take most of my time; countless all-nighters sitting transfixed in front of the computer monitor going through old census sheets page by page, etc. But I've met about a dozen or so cousins whilst doing said research and shared storeys and pictures and watched as my family history comes to life.
(I feel myself starting to get carried away with blabbing and don't want to bore you all to tears...) Suffice it to say that it's been a hectic 2 years with family health concerns, ups and downs and all of the emotional turmoil that goes with the territory; several trips back to the states to visit ill family members and moved again (much to our chagrin - does anyone like to move?) and have one more trip to Florida to make in 2 weeks to attend a memorial service for my mum that passed away the end of March after 9 weeks in the hospital...probably the worst thing I can think of to happen to anyone in life...
So I have decided to take some much deserved 'me' time and get back to my VPO which has not been touched in almost 2 years. I need a good stress reliever.
Graham, do you think your partner Andre would share a copy of the music for the organ and trumpet improv with me? I have been listening to it every day since you first posted it...I use it as an 'alarm' on my desktop whenever I have something I need to be reminded of and just love it.
I'm going to have to switch to my onboard sound on my music computer since our newest addition to the menagerie (part Chinois, part Chihuahua or Jack Russel Terrier, not sure which - but a very active little pup) chewed the breakout cable on my Delta 1010LT and naturally it's the one that can't be replaced without buying another sound card... We're going to see if some shoppe can repair it but I won't hold my breath. In any event, I just feel the need to 'chill' at my keyboards again.
I will say that I have 'lurked' from time to time but not actually logged in since I've been gone. I'm happy to see that this site continues to grow and to inspire so many.
Panos - your website is a work of art . . . and I've even seen your posts in other places (we seem to have the same idea when it comes to home theatre pcs and softwares)
I am hoping that life will settle down somewhat this year and allow me to return to MIMF at least a few times each week but it seems now that I am busier than when I was working full time. My mum left me her novel which I am trying to promote and she also left an unfinished sequel and her memoir that I hope to finish for her. She had wanted to see her book made into a movie so I am working toward that end as well. Another move awaits us after the return from Florida but we are hopefully getting a loft in the village that will have enough space for all of my 'projects' and I hope to finally add my pedalboard to my VPO and build a cabinet for it.
I think about the wonderful people on the forum and look forward to being able to return before the year's end.
Wishing you all the best!
Cheers...Stephen
