LOL @ second hand piano.

I agree with JHC, Lesley Howard is a brilliant pianist and the only one to have recorded all of Liszt's extant piano works (many of them recorded in Australia and NZ).

I suppose NOBODY will read this...
This site is as a church....you come and you confess...nobody will listen to you.

Martin, I read this. It's supposed to be about purchases of jazz cds. You can post your classical purchases in the appropriate section of the Classical Music thread, as I just did. If this site were a "church" as you so quaintly put it, I doubt that I would or could belong, as I am not Christian.

Today I got Time Further Out by--of course--The Dave Brubeck Quartet. Having immensely enjoyed over the years listening to Time Out, I am really looking forward to this album with much anticipation!

I haven't noticed this was a subdivision of jazz...I thought it was classical...

Yes! I have just realized it was written jazz forum

Martin, out of the blue

:p

Martin, it happens to all of us at one time or the other--welcome to the club! And actually, the thread isn't all that clear anyway in terms of being specifically for jazz or classical entries; I noticed in reading some of the older postings on this thread that people included classical as well as jazz cd purchases. My apologies--Steve, charter member of the club.

Hi teddy,
That seems like something I should look into.
My own latest (received from Amazon this morning) is named "Gerry Mulligan meets Johnny Hodges" and I'm currently listening to it - beautiful sounds.
However part of the CD is the Gerry Mulligan Quartet which included Art Farmer on trumpet and issued on LP as "What is there to say" - equally beautiful.
Cheers John
