I know this but will give others a chance for a couple of days
I believe it was "Wild" Bill Davison
hi john, wild bill davison is right. your question is next. gord
what musical instrument is otherwise known as a "licorace stick" and from what souce did its true name originate?
I always believed that was the clarinit but I do not know the origin
teddy
Is the name somehow derived from Clarion, maybe like clarionette = a small clarion? Could be a sort of anglicised version knowing how over the years a word of French origin can get corrupted. (Not as bad as what them yanks do to the Queens English though![]()
)
Teddy right with clarinet
mike - not far off (it is derived from the italian word clarino for a type of trumpet which apparently early clarinets sounded like)
you next teddy ?
Born 1984 daughter of a preacher man. Started out by busking. Went on to sing with Armstrong. Her first film appearance was in 1929
Teddy should that be 1894, otherwise a bit difficult to appear in a film 55 years before you're born.
Good job you are here Mike. Yes of course, 1894. Another of my famous typos.
teddy
