Colin,
I think we are too old, or too young, or something.

J.H.C. and teddy! I'm sorry if I offended your sophisticated sensibilities.
I must have been fresh from an American guitar forum when I typed this.
There are many different ways to enjoy driving down the road,
and I'm glad it looks like you enjoy travelling the straight and narrow.
John
You certainly did not offend me, and it is always interesting reading your posts. It is just the English sense of humour. As far as my sopistication.... hahahahahaha

Not offended just completely dumbfounded, have not a clue as to what you are on about
btw one of my hobbies is driving in my roadster, nothing like it, if it wasn't for the bl.....y traffic cops life would be ideal
Long instrumental jazz pieces like "Search for the New Land" by Lee Morgan; "The Chess Players" and " Pingpong" by Wayne Shorter, and of course " Traveling Man" by the Allmans for those somewhat longer trips, with some " Mountain Jam" thrown in for good measure.![]()

At the moment I am thinking of - Driving Home For Christmas - Chris Rhea.

How about "Dreams" and "Pegasus" by the Allmans and "Aja" by Steely Dan?
Baroque Trumpet Music and 8 Symphonies by William Boyce are my go to music at the moment. For very long trips I listen to them over and over and over and over....
For repetition, how about Ravel's Bolero?![]()
Hi Colin; when I use the term repetition in the context of Bolero it is in no way meant in a disparaging manner. Rather, it is a fruitful and productive--as opposed to boring--motif which builds to one of the greatest cresondoes and climaxes in musical history, at least in my humble opinion.![]()
Whatever floats your boat![]()
May your reach always exceed your grasp

Anyway, Ciao for now,

Sorry Steve it's my sense of humour it gets me into no end of trouble.
Colin, that's fine; I hope you and your wife are well and having a good holiday. Peace--Steve. p.s. Please keep your sense of humor.![]()
