Wanted some philatelic bits and pieces, one shop ceased trading, other gone to 3 days a week (Thurrsday -> Saturday)

Journeys took twice as long as usual, loadsa roadworks

Needed petrol (after being stuck in roadwork queues)

Got home founmd note from council lifeline, they called but I was out, ...... on the phone last week they said they were coming Tuesday.

Got outbid 4 times on Ebay, sniped at last minute ...... barstewards..

    Cheers MIKE.

Using an approximation of 4 litres = 1 US Gallon, about $7 for a US Gallon

4 litres is about 1.05 ish USG, I also rounded the £/$ exchange rate, so say give or take about 10Cents)

That was for 95 octane, £1.159 per litre, Diesel is a bit dearer and the high octane stuff dearer still.

I prefer diesel cars now, far better miles per gallon for the same size of engine which more than offsets the extra few pence per litre, and performance is almost as good. They even sell a diesel engined Jaguar now!!
    Cheers MIKE.

Do I detect a hint of disrespect among the antipodean colonial natives?
