Mummy, when I grow up ...

I want a pet monkey, is that ok? By the way, what happened to your face?

What a dreadful thing to happen, it is hard to imagine what she has gone through.

I hope she is able to have specialist treatment.

Look - it's a sad, hard lesson. All animals are capable of being hateful, including domenstic ones.

I have actually seen a large rabbit attack a dog and put it to flight. A local farmer had a sheep which would charge dogs. He used to loan it to local people whos dogs were sheep chasers. It had a 100% sucsess rate in curing them. The trouble is there are too many people out there who are bunny huggers. We all like animals but some of us refuse to realise how vicious they can be. Its natural.

I read a new article a few years ago about a lday in England who stopped to show her 3 yr old child a squirrel, and instead of running away the squirrel attacked her.
