Freddy Kemf Pianist

Does any one know if Freddy Kemf is related to Wilhelm Kemff. A search brings up no definite results that I can find, some say no and some say Grandfather ??

I don't think so. Wilhelm's surname is Kempff (with'p' and 'ff').
Freddy's is Kempf ('p' and 'f'). Although he lives in Germany, now, and his father is German, his mother is Japanese according to the biographies I've read. None of them makes any reference to a relationship to Wilhelm Kempff.
