Does anyone know where I can get samples of pipe organ effects, such as nightingale, glockenstern, etc., that will work with GrandOrgue? I already have a zimbelstern that works well, but I am looking for other effects stops.
Thank You,
Jay

Jay.. The Miditzer 216 organ has them ( and is free )..whether you can copy the files or not I do not know. some are on the taps and more on the toe pistons.

Hi Jay !
Bill has right. Get the effects from Midiger 216. They are in a sf2 bank with all stops ect. Open this bank with viena editor (Free from Kenneth Rudnt-Synth font site) and then export (and save) the samples with viena as .wav files. Then you know what to do to get them work in GO !
Hope it works for what you want.

Thanks for the info on MidiTzer 216. These effects samples seem to be well-suited for a theater organ, but I am not sure they will fit in a church pipe organ setting. I really do appreciate the information on converting SoundFonts to WAV. That will really be useful!!!
Thanks Again,
Jay
Hi Jay, again.
You can try Paul C. Stratman's Aeolian Skinner Church organs representations (American organ) for jOrgan. Use his' sf2 bank and extract with viena what you want. Send him first a note to give you permission of use, I know he would be glad to, and listen to your achievements too !!
Cheers

Hi Jay and all readers,
Pop along to http://www.hammersound.com/ where there is a bunch of different soundfonts and see if there is one that matches what you're looking for. If you're looking for drum type sounds (I think Jay is looking for specific organ type effects), the also check out the Hydrogen drum sets: https://sourceforge.net/projects/hyd...d%20Libraries/
All the best,
GrahamG
Thank you all for the replies to this message. Your recommendations have greatly helped!!!
Thanks Again,
Jay
In my effort to find an authentic pipe organ ornamentation stops, I came across an interview featuring an Italian Barouque pipe organ at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. This interview featured the organ's Nightingale stop. I would like to thank Graham and Panos as they did the hard work of isolating the sample and making it useable in GrandOrgue. With their permission, I am making this stop available to our forum community. If you need to know how to define this stop in a GrandOrgue ODF, here is an example...

If you have a console and you need a way to make a reversible piston to engage and disengage this stop, please take a look at my post on a Do-It-Yourself Reversible Piston Controller...
