    Help...Important Stravinsky Question

    Hello all,

I need the help of some music history experts for this question.

What group of animals is Igor Stravinsky likely the only composer to have written a dance for?

Any assistance you can give me is much appreciated.

    Thanks very much,

    Erin <font color="red"> </font>

    Re: Help...Important Stravinsky Question

    Hi Erin,

    Well, firstly, I`m no expert.

Secondly, this question sounds like a joke (in which case, I`d like to hear the punchline), or homework.

In any case, you peaked my interest because I love several Stravinsky works (Firebird, Petrushka, Rite of Spring, etc.)

So after checking a list of his works, the closest I could find was `Circus Polka` (for a young elephant), an unpublished work from 1942. But I don`t think that`s what you mean.

The question is bugging me, because it sounds vaguely familiar! Maybe it`s from one of his ballets, maybe Firebird? Hmmm...
