Nicely done. always an interesting concept to see..even if it does lack the emotion element when using these computer generated forms.

Hi wljmrbill,
Thanks very much for the feedback! I really value comments by you knowledgeable artists. You perked me up when I saw the response. :) Strangely since I've been sequencing for decades, when I put all the p f ff fff and so on in the score, it sounds more human than some of my older sequences.

I'm glad I figured out the technique to make the score playing into a movie though, my whole intention is to help people learn music, and this way they surely get to see what notation means what. Diverse, as I usual am, here are three more scores:

Scoring "You Are The Magic," this 9/8 waltz was funny to do in Finale. I originally tried just using 3/4 and putting triplets on various notes but it wouldn't stick. So I let Finale make the decision for me so I used 9/8. It's not the type of 9/8 of Debussy's Arabesque #1 which is written in 9/8 but fluctuates the tempo, "You Are The Magic" is truly a waltz. ps this was written in 2004, just before I started learning classical music.

Yes I believe this is a good way to learn as I frequently follow a score and listen to a cd/dvd of the same composition.. gives you an added insite into the performance of said piece... dose not mean you have to copy the performers style but gives insite and the mind begins to comprehend ( hear) the composition.. Good Work my friend.
