That is a difficult question for me to answer.
Anyway, these are my favorites:

1. Piano (Upright)
2. A tie between Cello and Bassoon
3. A tie between Melodica and Yamaha Electone.

French Horn, Bassoon, Viola

Only one other person said French Horn?

I loved playing the French Horn and if nothing else it lowered the learning curve to play the rest of the brass section. It beautiful by far my favorite to listen to and play.

My favorite music instruments are:

1.Veena
A very ancient instrument .There are many types of veena-like Vichitra veena and Chitraveena (without frets) ,Rudra veena,Saraswati Veena, etc.Usually different types of veena are used in Hindustani and Carnatic music.

2.Mridangam
Another instrument which has originated in a very distant past. It is the primary rhythmic accompaniment in a Carnatic Music ensemble. It is also known as "Deva VadhyaM" or "Divine Instrument".

2.Nadaswaram
A double reed wind instrument .- It is the world's loudest non-brass acoustic instrument. In Tamil culture, the nadaswaram is considered to be very auspicious, and it is a key musical instrument played in almost all Hindu weddings and temples of the South Indian tradition.

-It is part of the family of instruments known as mangal vadya (mangal =auspicious ,vadya=instrument). It is usually played in pairs ,and accompanied by a pair of drums called Thavil.

3.Thavil
A barrel shaped drum from Tamil Nadu.

4.Venu-flute
A bamboo transverse flute used in Carnatic music. The fingers of both hands are used to close and open the holes. It has a blowing hole near one end, and eight closely placed finger holes.

5. Ghatam
A percussion instrument used in the Carnatic Music. It is a clay pot with narrow mouth. Although the ghatam is the same shape as an ordinary Indian domestic clay pot, it is made specifically to be played as an instrument.
