It 'ain't', huh?
lol (my Mum always gave me a hard time about using 'ain't')
I'd like to start this thread back up with a stop list of that "fun organ", I mentioned earlier. Two-manual, duplexed. Flues, primarily, for enhancing the reeds.
Tonal resources:
Quintadena 8', 4'
Rohrflote 8'
Violprinzipal 4'
Hohlflote 4' (after Stellwagen, Jacobis Kirche, Lubeck)
Nasard 2 2/3', 1 1/3'
Kleinprinzipal 2'
Gemsterz 1 3/5', 4/5'
Gemsseptime 1 1/7', 4/7'
Grossdulzian 16', 8' (1/4 length, large-scaled)
Holzrankett 16', 8'
Doppelkegelregal 16', 8' (wood, perhaps? why not?)
Musette 16', 8', 4' (wood)
Fagott 8' (as at St. Lauren's Kerk, Alkmaar)
Trompetenregal 8', 4'
Apfelregal 8', 4' (brass)
Krummhorn 8', 4' (after Stellwagen, Jacobis Kirche, Lubeck)
Rohrschalmei 8'
Vox Humana 8'
Viol da Gamba 8' (as at St. Lauren's Kerk, Alkmaar)
Singendregal 4', 2'
...and a small-scaled 16' Untersatz and 32' Tromboncini would be available only on the Pedal.
...just kidding.
I mean, a 32' Barpfeife. The Holzrankett, Krummhorn and Singendregal would be playable on the Pedal as well.
Usually, I write stuff on paper before typing it, so I'm really winging this.
Actually, for a locust's mating call, the lowest couple of notes of a 32' Tromboncini might work.

Okay... How about a wooden Apfelregal, with the hollow spheres constructed like tiny barrels?
Here's some corrections, since I couldn't edit my last post:
Instead of two manuals, I thought three would allow for more flexibility, considering the large number of regals. The Untersatz would be extended to 8', 4', and 2'. Add a couple of Rossignals, and a couple more octaves to each mutation.
Santyani(?) Cathedral (Majorca) has that large organ, built by a German, who had moved to Iberia. It has a 2/3' stop, which sounds cute with an 8' flute. Kind of the whistling booger effect (sorry
lol).
