Thank you and I wish the best of luck in the coming year for you and your family.

That's most kind of you, Panos. I will wait patiently then.

In the meantime I'm going back to work. I have to install the Enigma set...

    EDIT:

That's just my luck... I can't seem to instal Enigma. I downloaded it, unzipped it and tried to open in HW, but I keep getting an error.

I am logged as an administrator, I tried both rebooting and reinstalling. I'm out of ideas.

    Hi Matt !

The thing you want is easy.... I got the K88 manual.
Usually, with all my non organ console like keyboards, if I want to use HW3.3, I do the following :
I do not change anything on HW. Just leave as are my settings for my organ controller, ie Gt to Ch2, Sw to Ch1 and Ped to ch3, also Choir to Ch5 and Echo to ch4.

Now the synth keyboards have some switches dedicated to change midi transmit channel.
In Motif is a piece of cake..... I want ch3 I push no.3 buttonn ect
In my SG1D 88 I hold down function and press the according key on keyboard
In CME I just rotate a knob.

In Keystation 88 manual I found this :

    "Channel
MIDI data from the keyboard can be sent on any of 16 MIDI Channels. However, certain MIDI devices and MIDI software applications require
the keyboard to send data on a specified channel. If this is the case, you can change the channel the data is sent using the following
    method:
< Press the Advanced Functions button to engage Edit Mode.
< Press one of the 16 Channel keys from D1 to E3, according to the Channel that you need.
For example, if a device specifies that you need to send data on Channel 10, press the Advanced Functions button, and then key F2 to select
    Channel 10.
The Channel can also be assigned to the Octave “+” and “-” buttons. Once assigned, pressing “+” or “-” will increase or decrease the channel
incrementally. When Channel 16 is reached and “+” is pressed, Channel 1 will be selected. If the Octave “+” and “-” keys are selected to vary
the Channel, the lights above the buttons will not change, since it is not possible to have a Channel with a negative value. Pressing both the
“+” and “-” buttons together will recall Channel 1."

Also in page 6 there's a diagram with a keyboard and all fuctions. As I see channels are note C.D.E ect. Easy. You play with Great on HW, click a button on K88, play now Ped.

    Now the Enigma problem...... odd.....
Have you checked if "Swell-Prin4/036wav" exists in your files in Hauptwerk folder?
If it's missing , HW won't load the set. If there is....... hmmmm ...odd at least to me, I've never experienced a situation like this, others yes, but always I followed HW's instructions and solved the issues.

Where did you download Enigma ? As far as I know Al's site has withdrawn it.
I got it a year back and along main files there was a second ODF file to replace the one in main RAR file....

    Hope I helped a little
    best regards

If my memory serves me well, I downloaded Enigma from here http://hauptwerkhelp.info/free_sample_sets.html. I looked for the missing file 'Sw-Prin4/036-C.wav' and it turns out it's not there. Does this mean the my set is incomplete and I won't be able to install it corretly? I remember I got a silmilar (but not the same) error when I was trying to install the set a few months ago.

Darn, I was really looking forward to using Enigma...

    > I downloaded it, unzipped it

Your mistake is unzipping the RAR archive. Hauptwerk has its own installer which reads the RAR directly. When you download the file, its filename is:
    enigmawet3.comppkg.hauptwerk.rar
make a note of where that file is located.
Then in Hauptwerk goto the menu: File|Install Organ ...
In this dialog find and click on the .rar file.
Hauptwerk will then unzip and install the sample set from that file.
But you're not quite done. Now in the menu select:
    Organ|Load Organ ...
(or if you want to select which stops to load, choose Organ|Load organ adjusting rank audio output routing)
Hauptwerk will now load the stops and perform a lot of preprocessing on them and place all of them in one large file in Hauptwerk's cache directory. Now you can play the organ.

    Hi Mat:
The downloaded file might be corrupted. The easiest way to check (before downloading it again) is to check its MD5 checksum against the published one on the website.
If you haven't got an MD5 checker, download this free one http://www.winmd5.com/ - it's less than 100kB. Unzip it and run it. Then you can use the Browse button in its dialog window to select the enigma .rar file to generate the MD5 sum (which takes maybe 15 seconds on my computer).
You can either compare the two sums yourself or paste the correct one into the entry at the bottom of the window and then click on Verify.
If the MD5 sum is incorrect then you will have to download the file again and check it again.
If the sum is correct then I don't know what to do other than suggest you make sure that you have plenty of free space on your C: drive because that is where your Hauptwerk installation is probably putting the cached sample set.

    P.S.
I've just downloaded, checked the MD5 sum, and installed the Enigma Wet set in HW3.3 with no problems.

Thanks for your input, Pete. I will probably download the MD5 checker. Hope it solves my problem.

    Hey Pete,

I checked the MD5 checksum of the Enigma set on my PC against the checksum from this site. Hope I chose the right one:
The MD5 for the Wet set file is:34E350FF4AB8DE4EDFB006B85630F5B9.
    It didn't match.

I'm not sure what it means to me and what I'm supposed to do now...

    Mat,

In your Internet browser, clear your temporary internet files or cache and then download the Enigma sample set one more time.

    Good Luck,

    Mat:
Delete the bad copy of the downloaded file (the one with the bad MD5 sum), download the file again and check the MD5 sum against this new file. If it doesn't match, unfortunately all you can do is to keep trying the download again until it does match.
If it matches, you've got a good copy and can proceed to load it in Hauptwerk.

Panos, I'll try to download the dry version as well. If that doesn't work either, I might take you up on your kind offer.

For those of you who might be interested how this whole situation turned out for me...

As I said, I downoloaded the dry set, which, unsuprisingly, didn't work either. Then I downloaded the set from Panos. Unlike the other sets, this one installed without any errors. So, it looks like the files I downloaded earlier were broken. Now, I just have to buy more RAM memory. 1 GB is just not enough to run the Enigma smoothly... So, for now I have to stick with st. Anne's. Thanks to everyone who tried to help.
