    Hi Mat,

Thanks ! I just love Kafka....
Glad you got LE. If you got some other Impulse Responces you can import them to LE and expand you library.
The bigest free is from Hybrid Reverb 2.

Try this site : www.vstplanet.com and go to effects/reverbs ect.

Glaceverb is a very good VST, but as the name suggests is more glassy, "water" based and also, as you saw, has this metalic room simulation very good for electronic/synth music indeed.

For your next Bach, or any other composer, recording project LE will be great.

But if you ever go low on memory ect get a small algorithmic reverb with a super chapel environment emulation : ANWIDA DXsoft (free). Not many parameters, yes, but its chapel preset is cool, so you don't have to raise ram with IRs from LE. It's a good back-up.

waiting for your next project !
Hey, did you see the "composer of the month" thread by Mike?
It's a good opportunity for us to be motivated to record some works !

That's a great site, this vstplanet. Who knows, maybe I'll even find the double bass for my not-so-classical music projects, I've been looking for one for a while.

I'll be sure to use LE for the next recording. I'm working on another piece right now, I'll post it when it's ready.

I've only skimmed through Mike's thread. I'll need to read it again, also follow the links he posted.

    Cheers

Hey Mat, I cannot stay silent for this : for the best free double bass instrument go and get the free Kore 2.11 player from Native Instruments.
The preset is called Standing Jazz Bass. Cooool !!

Though I read that NI discontinued the whole KORE project.... See what you can find while there's still time...
Alternative the DSK bassez VSTi. But not so good as KORE's...

    Hi again Panos,

I'll have a look at the Kore software. I'm sure it's great since it's a Native Instrument's product.

Looks like we might need a new thread, devoted exclusively to VSTi...

VSTi Subforum - that's a great idea. Though it's all up to Frederik and the forum staff. We should probably ask them.
