New Critical Rave Review For New Artist Here

Now, Why Is This Music Important?
We are living at a time of great crisis, opportunity, and change. It is accompanied by great mass scale suffering, the likes of which is unprecedented in world history.

I choose to create music that is not only a reflection of this, but is suggestive of a cure - of transcendence, of hope.

What Is Needed To Ensure This Music Succeeds?

Persons have thanked me for creating this work. Persons have also shown scant interest. Not many actually support this work in any manner, shape or form. Most of all they seem to be waiting for the costly and manipulative Marketing Machinery to TELL them that this work is a WINNER and then and only then will they part with a single cent to support (i.e. find their personal ego identity vicariously enlarged to god like levels by association with someone they see as god like) thereby ensuring only the rich get richer, the poor get poorer, the outcast remain outcast, *no matter how worthy and gifted they are*

Thank you for making good connection with me. Please go to

for explanations on how I compose and create my albums.

My latest album "Songs From The Breastbone Drum" has received great honour and respect on the Internet's biggest and most respected Jazz magazine website, AllAboutJazz.com
The extended analysis of my album is at : http://www.allaboutjazz.com/php/article.php?id=37744

AND even more recently, it has garnered a 'thumbs up' from musical website,
"SomethingElse" : http://www.somethingelsereviews.com/2010/10/domina-catrina-lee-songs-from.html

Without fan support, I will now not be able to make my album available as CDs, and I hope to raise the money to do this, if enough people were to help and download my music at
http://dominacatrinalee.bandcamp.com/

Remember every cent counts, and if you are willing you can be a part of this amazing new adventure - the launch of a new artist's career =)

Regards,
Domina Catrina Lee

PS I MUST thank the few who have shown great FAITH in my music and downloaded my album without my prompting or appeal of any kind. Such astonishing faith in the human heart, however rare, is suggestive of the hugeness and magnanimity of which we as humans are truly capable of. To me, it was NEVER a matter of becoming 'famous' or 'making a profit'. There are no profits. Just tryin to get by, which is not possible now, not without your help. am aware that many here are great artists in your own right, and you have no idea how privileged I would feel to receive your support and help =)

Just a castaway, lost with my own digitals,
in my studio, no-one wants to promote,
more loneliness, than even Catrina should bear, oh,
download me, before I fall into more despair... oh...

I'll send my music out there to the world,
I'll send my music out there to download,
and hope that someone gets me,
I hope that someone wants me,
and I get some radio play, catching some heavy rotation too,

"it seems I'm not alone at being alone"
Message in a forum, yeah, oh yeah, message in a forum.....

Hi John, very clever indeed . But seriously, if you do go on the market with any of your work, please consider me to be among the first of your customers. Peace--wk

white knight! Thank you, thank you very much, for your interest, and your output here.
I felt comfortable riffing off that Sting tune, thinking of Catrina,
because I really like what I've heard so far. She's more than just good.
I'm not sure how much is pure composition, or the musicians she's working with,
how many instruments she plays herself, or how she records transitory angelic spirits.
Personally, I like how she can start sounding "ethnic", and derail her own train like Coltrane.
I think I'll switch to a hard-rock thread now, and get more aggressive myself.

I actually feel rather insulted by being told that I am waiting for someone to tell me what I like or do not like. I have always been my own man, even when I was only a small boy. While it is true that I have been introduced to some great music here, from jazz to pipe organ, I certainly was not swayed by anyones opinion, only by respect for their judgment. And that respect has generally been well earned. The film - The Sound of Music - was panned. Why? Because the critics felt it was smart to do so. Critics generally like the sound of their own voice, whether they are panning something which is actually good, or talking up something which is actually a load of rubbish, but which they think needs explaining to the morons who do not understand the finer points.
I make up my own mind, and in this instance I have already done so.

Catrina,

Why don't you join more forums, manufacture a hardcopy CD, join CD Baby etc. You will get more exposure than one forum alone. ( I'm not dissing Magle, it's great, but there are others ... )
