    Mel Tormé on drums?

I was just trawling through amazon MP3 downloads (as one does) and found a 1947 release with the following line up

Roy Eldridge, Flip Philips, Mel Tormé, Specs Powell, Al Casey, Eddie Safranski, and Mike Coluchio.

it's from a radio show "WNEW saturday night swing" Specs Powell is the drummer named on the sleeve, but the announcer names Mel Tormé as drummer on "How High the Moon" ; he's also scat singing on this track and 3 others, "Lover" "Honeysuckle Rose" and "Flip & Jazz"

I've a vague memory of hearing Tormé on drums before but not 100% certain. Anybody confirm or no?
    Cheers MIKE.
