Check out Nathan Childers, who plays with the Birdland Big Band, among others. He's an up-and-coming Yamaha Artist. His solo on Birdland at the Buddy Rich Memorial Concert was above the late Steve Marcus's work (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwV57jIiSSk).... (Full disclosure: He's the son of a friend of mine who I gig with; he joined us on many occasions when he was young.)

This Nathan guy clearly knows what he's doing - loved his solo. Thanks for the link, KMB!

Excellent Mat. I will have to listen to some more. A friend of mine has recently bought a soprano sax and I will pass them on.

Well, now we know what Colin does with his violin!!!!!!!

Nice piece Mat. It reminds me of when Ginger Baker, the drummer from Cream, went to Africa to improve, or maybe that should be expand, his drumming. I have been neglecting my music lately. I really must buck up.
