You are spot on re: Carl Palmer's drumming abilities. I was fortunate and privileged enough to catch them in 1970 at Carnegie Hall during their initial American tour and still remember how blown away I was by both the group's talent and inventiveness and the absolute dynamite drumming of Carl Palmer.

From that day on, I became a lifelong devotee of this group, only later becoming aware that their roots began in King Crimson and The Nice. Anyway, thanx for your response to my thread; in this case, I'm glad to be proven wrong.
