I've enjoyed Asian guitars right from the start, seeing better inlays,
more inlays, more exciting inlays, and lots of hot tropical grains.
I see north america as now being saturated with electric and acoustic guitars.
I never worried about that. Life is life all over.
But....
I am worried about the next wave, all the Asian musicians playing them.
North Americans won't stand a chance.
Sure, Cirque de Soleil came up with a Canadian, Quebecois, version of Asian acrobats,
but that was over thirty years after Chinese astounded north american audiences on The Ed Sullivan Show.
I'm not only going to have to start drinking alcohol and smoking doobs to be authentic rock,
I'll have to be able to do it all at once while riding a unicycle, singing and playing "Little Wing" by Jimi Hendrix.
And I don't wanna know where that ramp at the end goes.
I'm not ready for my big leap offstage, er, of faith.

Youve got to send us the video John. The Chinese certaily produce some beautiful guitars, but I suppose I should not be suprised with their history of instrument making.

That Jimi graphic behind my guitar in the avatar is a large blanket.
I'm going to get a cape-like hoodie made out of it,
with my eyes looking through Jimi's when the hoodie hood is pulled down,
and do that big leap offstage.
Lots of more decorative abalones and other shells around there too.
If I visited Angor Wat I'd want to snorkel around a little.
