Well as the situation in Egypt has shown the ordinary man can now make a difference thanks to the mobile phone and the Internet, perhaps the case brought against Assange may start a new set of leaks with a bit of Geek pressure.

Personally I don't see anything criminal in what Julian is doing. Blowing the whistle (sorry Martha) is a good thing. Expose the truths and let the chips fall where they may.
I agree, this is a very good topic for debate. I'm looking forward to the site releasing international banking records along with credit card company "business practices" with great anticipation.

I would have thought that the Governments concerned would be more concerned in tightening their security than pursuing this man, a good wake up call for them
Re the mobile phone and the Internet , both can be shut down if it suits the government concerned, and have been in the past. Technology can be controlled. Ameuter radio and CB radio are much harder to control. Maybe we should all utilise these forms of communication. Of course all forms of radio transmission can be traced, fixed sites being easier to locate than mobile. Oh blessed paranoia

Would a government not be suicidal to close the www and mobiles ?? it would cost businesses big bucks and the smart nerds would soon find a way around it, as has happened in Libya the governments blockage of the www was easily by passed thank god for geeky kids eh

A wise man speaks because he has something to say a fool because he has to say something.
Yep and it's all around the world in no time, perhaps that the big thing?
