    Christina Perri

Christina Perri is fairly new and I liked her right away. Her song "Jar of Hearts" was used on the TV show "So You Think You Can Dance" and became an overnight hit. She just finished recording her new CD that will come out in May and I can't wait.

Has anyone here heard of her? What do you think of her sound?

You can listen to her songs on her website: christinaperri.com

Hey! I've just been listening to "Jar of Hearts" on the radio this last week.
I like the emotional quality of her voice, and the song builds as a floating melody,
like "I'm Walking Away" or "Careless Whispers", only it's not a soft r'n'b kind of thing.

I like "String of Hearts" better, even "A Case of Hearts", wanting to feel more love than bitterness.
But then, if I'm not feeling the bitterness, just left with memories of love,
how I live, how I feel, how I type, would become just another posting, on this
    "Page of Musical Hearts".

Uh-oh! Now I'm starting to geezer this song up, singing "Jar of Heart Pills", for some audiences.

Did not do a lot for me at first play. I will try some of her other work to give it a fair trial

Not another thread, but another singer who has now surpassed Christina, Adele.
Wow! I think I learned those songs without even trying, hearing them so much.
And I'm not just rolling, or trolling in the deep. Sometimes, you got me floating.

Yeah, I was floating around my studio with the radio on, this new morning,
when the d.j. started commenting on "where is Christina Perri?"
So, months after my last comments here, I'm back and seeing what I wrote.
Looks like I was right. It's all Adele all the time,
and I haven't heard Christina Perri at all for a couple of months now.
Didn't they even try for a follow-up smash hit?
If Adele can't tour, why doesn't Christina pick up her slack for real?

Now I heard they're deciding on a new standard award for record sales,
inspired by the success of Christina Perri.
Not platinum, not gold, not silver, but Perridot, and no, I'm not .ing on her.
