    4'33"

One of the groups I write arrangements for, wants to do 4'33" with a wind quartet for a charity concert later in the month. The clarinetist is concerned that his part is transposed correctly, but I'm not sure whether to write for Bb or A clarinet: any thoughts or advice would be most welcome ...
I'm not an atheist and I don't think I can call myself a pantheist. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many different languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn't know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God.

I thought the Bb clarinet was not able to play six-lined G sharp, which is necessary to perform the piece...

    LOL - such whimsy

    (six lines above the treble = d; above the bass = f; above the alto = e) .... ??
