The Sax was a first for me, not too unpleasant somewhat similar to an old Buffalo passing wind, but the Bassoon falls into the category of instruments that for me are not suitable for jazz.

Never heard of it before, so Googled it. Fascinating idea. Rather enjoyed the sound of it as well

Great Idea.
Where next we wonder. What with all them 'Wind Turbines' they are threatening to engulf the landscapes with, maybe I will sneak out some midnight and see if one is playable. Need a special mouthpiece for it though (and a crash helmet in case I get clattered on the nut with one of them big propellers!) If some bible black night you all hear a ghostly eerie whirring 'DIN' don't worry none, it will be me, out on the moors improvising on a 'Wind Turbine' on the theme of Woody Herman's 'Blowing Up A Storm!'
The mind boggles.
Hi Colin I'm not sure if you actually approve of such stuff?
That sort of stuff called electronic instruments Colin
Oh I see well as I have said before I am a pure acoustic devotee with the exception of the Vibraphone which receives only a wee bit of assistance.
Colin. What, not even the electronic harpsichord?

John, this is very nice. Thanks for posting.
Actually, electronic wind instruments have been fairly popular for quite a while now. Take EWI for example:
