Beautiful roses, Mike ... you sure have the green thumb for growing these. They must smell nice, too.

Jealous of the Wisteria Mike. We never cut ours back enough so it did not flower well. I may have another go in a year or two.

It's years since mine was cut back, had to do it at the time, it got under the eaves and started to run over the loft. Only cutting I do is chopping off ground level runners that try and root themselves.
Gardening!! I hate it, Roses I hate em, Wisteria I hate the Bl**d! things, if I had my way our Garden would be all grass, I did manage to convert the veggie garden to grass, now we get home grown veggies from the market in town cheap and convenient, another thing I hate 'Ivy' all of these things are anti me and too time consuming, give me a home where the ........ roam.
A wise man speaks because he has something to say a fool because he has to say something.
I've eliminated grass, it's mostly roses, paving or concrete. Grass needs mowing at intervals, now that is a thankless task, why can't they breed a grass that grows to an inch or so high then stays at that height. I bet the lawn mower manufacturers pay them not to do that!
Cheers MIKE.

Those are beautiful Mike, I especially like The Bridge of Sighs one. You certainly do have green fingers, I have just the opposite.
Margaret
Mike, there is a hybred variety of grass which grows very slowly. You can also treat grass with a chemical which slows the growth rate. them of course there is always Astroturf..............
teddy
Yeah but it still grows, paving stones and concrete don't
Anyway grass is for cows and sheep to eat, or playing cricket on, no use for anything much else.
Cows and sheep play cricket?????????????
teddy
We have no grass now, we have a low maintenance garden.

I do love a lawn, although ours is in a sorry state after 30 years of BBQs and children playing on it. Have just grown 50 lavender bushes, partly to replant a bed at the front of the house and some for patio pots. I also intend to plant another Buddleia as I love bees and will happily let them crawl over me. There is an old saying that if you have news you must tell the bees. You don't have to bee mad but I find it helps. I intend to keep bees at some time soon. (they take up less room than ducks)
teddy
lavendar flowers are delicious as a food, Teddles, but I'm sure you knew that.
