    this year's mystery ...

This year is bizarre - four dates with nothing but 1s in them (based on the format dd/mm/yy). You'll figure then out, here's one: 1/11/11.

If you take the last two digits of the four digit year your were born, and add it to the age you will be this year, you'll get 111.

Now, some mathematician can explain why, that would be nice!

I'm not an atheist and I don't think I can call myself a pantheist. We are in the position of a little child entering a huge library filled with books in many different languages. The child knows someone must have written those books. It does not know how. The child dimly suspects a mysterious order in the arrangement of the books but doesn't know what it is. That, it seems to me, is the attitude of even the most intelligent human being toward God.

[nitpick]One has to assume suppression of leading zeroes for it to work, otherwise you would get 01/01/11 for exaample.[/nitpick]
    Cheers MIKE.

Mike - yep, you're right, so instead of just nitpicking, why not offer a solution?
