We seem to be talking my sort of jazz.
stu, Basie had a great number of superb jazzmen (including Al Grey of course)
teddy, Big T unbeatable in his own field and Bechet was ahead of his time (Not to mention his use of the soprano)
Big T unbeatable indeed. And Summertime by Bechet is sublime. Another Bechet I rank highly is his playing on Blue Horizon.
