    Hi Gord., Louis is the greatest ever for me (though Big T is close behind and when they play together is a bonus).
    My greatest favourite Louis is "I've got the right to sing the blues" - the trumpet solo is phenominal.

    John, I downloaded some Warne Marsh tracks recently from the album 'New York Live'. (Warne Marsh tenor;Red Mitchell bass;Pete Scatteritico drums)
    IMO it is truly exceptional music. Good solo's all round, very well recorded, and swings all the way!

    He also recorded some fine stuff with Lee Konitz.

    some jazz artists, i could listen to their recordings all day long. great jazzmen like coltrane, monk, and teagarden, i never get bored by their work.

    teddy - i'm glad you share my liking for Lee Konitz. That one is great.
    gord - I was starting to think that only teddy and I from the Forum shared our love of Big T.
    I,m glad to know there is at least one other. Any more out there in the Forum? Please let us know.

    hi john, i have been a fan of BIG T for 50 years, and i listen to some of his music every couple of days.
    nobody plays the trombone so good and consistant as he does, and also that voice what a jazz singer,
    those old lps big ts jazz,the blues and dixie, and the incredable t for trombone, i have almost worn them
    out with continually playing them.below is teagarden with a big band singing a spiritual recorded mid 50s. enjoy. gord
