A Van de Graf generator is used to generate very high voltages. Obviously, I am out of touch with why this is an organ topic.
Van der Graaf Generator is the name of a British Prog/Art Rock Band
More on Wikipedia about Hugh Banton, who was a member of that British band until 1976, but rejoined the group in 2005.

All keyboards played by Peter Hammill himself, as all guitars and vocals.
Banton played in his own style, no doubt, not one of my favourites though.
I enjoyed Peter Hammill more !

Well Peter Hammill was the heart of VDGG, and his more recent live recordings show that he can still with passion and verve, despite the thin man's advancving years.. I've been revisiting the earlt VDGG remastered recordings (with bonus tracks) and I'm still startled as to how "out there" they were in early 70s.. a Plague of Lighthouse keepers.. phenomenal!
