Hi earwax, and welcome to the forum.

The original music for Hart to Hart was composed by Roger Nichols with lyrics by Leslie Bricusse.
There doesn't appear to have been a CD of the soundtrack ever produced.

The theme song is indeed on the site Marval recommends above, though.

Brings back a lot of memories for me, even though I found the programme a bit cheesy

I'm seeing a lot of European attitude here, about local programming for me.
    Hart to Hart.
Robert Wagner and the first beautiful redhead to be featured on American television,
    as undercover agents.
This series helped keep Robert Wagner's name above water during a difficult Hollywood time.
His wife, a more famous actress, Natalie Wood, was found drowned beside their yacht,
with another more famous male Hollywood actor admitting to partying with them that night.
    No charges were ever laid.

Somehow, Buddy Ebsen, a vaudeville dancer who made it as the Wizard of Oz scarecrow,
seemed more realistic as a private detective.
However, those shows weren't as funny as Hogan's Hero's,
a comedy about a German prisoner of war camp, with Colonel Klink,
who was in real life a symphony conductor.

When you watch American programming, all approved by Washington,
you have to see how and what is being sold and sold out.
Hart to Hart. Do you remember Fred Astaire, uh, dancing around on that show?

I'm seeing "Miked" as a user name for the first time, really nice,
and I wonder why I never thought of that one.

And isn't it about time you thought "It Takes a Thief",
no matter how handsome and debonair?

Let's see if I can be truly helpful.
If you're interested in this piece of Hollywood soundtrack funk,
this is definitely the Gloria Gaynor "I Will Survive" style of recording.
Philadelphia style. Soul with strings. You should find some Barry White.
That's my guess. Here's one of the first of many classic Philly soul sounds.

When Philly soul was getting its orchestral, studio sound together,
the first big hits were instrumentals, and the first songs made hits by disco DJ's.
The third link is my favorite vocal song from the era.
When I got up onstage, it wasn't to jam some old blues or garage band songs,
I'd start the Amaj7 inversion they use for "Love's Theme", and everyone got into it.
When I start playing rhythm, sometimes I don't want to stop. Dance time!

Oh yeah! Talking about Jimi Hendrix style lead guitar,
the last link shows what happens to Philly soul when Jimi shows some effects,
and gives the youngest brother, their guitarist, a free backstage lesson.
