Special Music from Sudan

Thank you for posting this video. It is good to become acquainted with examples of other Cultures. Wonderful rhythm played by a group of talented musicians who obviously love what they are doing.

More years ago than I care to think about I had an LP recording titled Port Said, a collection of Arabian dances. This music seems to bear a close relationship to that on the record, as I recall it, than it does to "European Classical Music". However using the dictionary definition of 'Classical' as"Standard and authoritative rather than mew and experimental" the music can be fairly called "Classical Sudanese Music".

Semantics aside, I found it very enjoyable.
