    Melodies that will never die...

Let me share a melody that can very easily burrow into your heart, mind, and soul

    So, here it goes:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUgBZ...eature=related

I exhort my MIMF brothers and sisters to share their version of a timeless melody.

That's a nice polka. The folk music here sounds almost celtic
with our bluegrass. I'm Irish and I like bluegrass from Kentucky.

Corno Dolce and teddy like this.
" The essance of reproduction,to feel and re-create that which was felt and impared by the creater, does not exclude- within natural limitations-the assertion of creative power" - Dr. Hugo Goldschmidt.

It's late at night for me and I was just going to switch the PC off when I remembered a video from utube that I d/l, it may interest you, it is of Itzac Perlman, one of the finest Violinists in the world joining in some Klezmer music, it gets better as the video progresses, I have a great CD called "Live in the fiddlers house" with all the famous Klezmer groups for anyone that likes music with a earthy beat it is a must. This is the vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DkmFgQ9fM94

That was great CD. It reminds me that I have a couple of recordings called "A New Kind Of Blues" of Perlman playing with Andre Previn and one with Perlman with Oscar Peterson. We are in the wrong thread but Previn is one of my Jazz favorites.

You don't hear much of Pearlman now, he was great with Pinky Zukerman and Danny Barenboim what a trio.
