    Browsing For Organ Videos

I enjoy browsing through YouTube for videos of Organ Music. This is my latest find. An arrangement by Robert Hebble of Lead, Kindly Light by John Henry, Cardinal Newman and John B. Dykes played on the Hauptwerk sample set of the 1928 E. M. Skinner organ of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Chicago.

...this is really well done. You get the beautiful sounds of that instrument, along with a wonderful setting of the tune. A true example of the value of Hauptwerk, spreading the word!

    thanks for posting. jgirv

    Absolutely wonderful arrangement, Rob.

I've always been an admirer of Hebble's organs works ... I need to add more of his composition to my library, for sure.

I recorded some videos recently, with American service music. I like the uplifting, melodic, catchy and movie soundtrack-like style of this kind of music. And so does the congregation

There may be a considerable lag between the sound and video. Sorry about that! I don't know why that lag exists, because when I play the wmv file with Media Player, it plays ok. May be a problem with Flash Player.

    Marko...... THANKS !

Excellent videos, excellent performances. Bravo !
Ok, there's a latency seeing your fingers and listening to the sound, but this is not and by no means a drawback of the whole work. After all is something you can fix I believe and re-upload.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful music with all.

Last spring I bought a set of Maas Cathedral Chimes for my organ from Ebay, cost USD 700 plus 400 shipping. Good value for money! Three tubes had cracks and I ordered new ones from the manufacturer. They arrived this month and are now in place.

And because I haven't found many Youtube videos with organ chimes, here is one with my "new old" chimes:

And yet two more videos just for fun (no chimes though):

For instance, no clip survived of the beautiful historic organ of the Cathedral in Roskilde, Denmark.
Therefore this short introduction of the instrument by Mario Perestegi from Croatia:

And two 'soundclips': Piet Kee plays Bruhns on the Roskilde organ.

I came upon this Video today. The title of the composition intrigued me. The Organist Composer is playing the instrument at Sts. Pierre et Paul - Obernai (France). I have not found much information on Marco Lo Muscio. I wonder if that is really his name. It sounds more like a pseudonym. It would appear that he is or was a Progressive Rock Organist (whatever that is). I know nothing about rock Music

I would be interested in your opinions of this piece.
