I would like what foods you can't stand. I don't like
horse raddish because it't hot and taste like mud.

Hi Judy

I don't like horseradish either, I also don't like prawns, mango, kiwi fruit or blackcurrants.

Can't eat cheese nor tomatoes, although can manage tomato ketchup - go figure! Don't like turnips, swedes or parsnips.

Other no-nos include black pudding, broccoli, shell fish, except shrimp and prawns. Hate Whisky Brandy and Gin, most draught beers and most wines; when I do drink it's Rum, cider or mead, occasionally lager.

Favourite apple to eat raw or cooked is a Bramley, wouldn't touch cox's, golden delicious or other "dessert apples", tasteless pap unless you can grow your own.

My tastes have changed with age. I now like cucumber (especially in sandwiches) and beetroot. I have never cared for marrow or courgettes. I am more likely to eat salad with a dressing rather than with Salad Cream. My sweet tooth is quieter these days although it has not disappeared (or been extracted).
I tend to favour fruit when abroad somewhere hot although I can eat strawberries almost any time.

All my life I have hated mayonnaise, sour cream, cream cheese, avocados, beets, and have since age 13 added butter (oleo/margarine) to that list.
I'm a very finicky eater - funny part of mayonnaise though is that I love potato salad (except when it is so runny one needs a straw) and Bleu Cheese dressing.

Only thing I can think of is Raw Fish that I do not like to eat., hot peppers. Guess growing up poor and with my parents you ate what was put in front of you amd learn to like it..so I guess I did. I also was manager of a few resturants and that always brodens your tastes palate.

Despite Mrs Jennings initial post making me snort with laughter for all the wrong reasons. This thread has turned out rather interestingly, don't you think?

I eat anything put in front of me, really (poor pastor's son, large family, and so on). However, I do draw the line at the following disgusting line up:

Liver, kidneys and trip (life's too short for cullinary torture)
Chicken's feet (they scratch about in shite for dog's sake)
Goat's eyes (which I saw on a menu once, promptly went into the bathroom and threw up)

Oh, and not a big fan of Brussel Sprouts (which are remarkably well named, considering Brussels is tedious and irksome).

I am a cross ****** everything. Until I have had a few cups of tea and several cigarettes (and a shave). I am very good at crosswords. ***** , ******* , **** , and of course *****************.

I thought I would add the avatar to mark this auspicious occasion.

Teddles - that's so not fair!! Please, in future, if you use a naughty word, simply type it back-to-front - we'll figure it out!!!

Teddy, I believeI have figured out who your avatar represents. There was a Bear living in the forest whose name was Gladly. He suffered from an affliction in that his eyes did not focus. He was much loved by the other animals who always sang the praises of Gladly The Cross Eyed Bear.
