Looking for Pergolesy's Stabat Mater

Searching for Stabat Mater by Pergolesy, Performed by Marga Hoffgen or Hofgen (Soprano) and Ilena Contrubas or Conturbas(Alto), either on vinile or on disc.

Would appreciate any help, really miss it for a long time now..

So far as I can see Cotrubas is a soprano?!

Hi Thomas, thanks for your quick response ! Although It doesn't seem like t h e recording I've been looking for - or rather fixated on - but might as well be worth listening to - d'you know it?
As for Cotrubas, oooops, my mistake, could be somthing about her name, much like a violinist named Viola.. Chapeau anyway!

Cotrubas, a Romanian soprano (whose career is now historical), was quite a character in her time, a true prima donna... There is a bio here

Acciaccatura,you did it, I can hardly believe my eyes, that's the one! Been looking for it for ages.It was the only one really inspiering, so I had to avoid listening to any other Stabat Mater recordings, always finding them to be too slow or too fast, too operaic or too plain-flat - or maybe it's just a fixation, got hooked on my first one.. Now I only have to find where to purchase it. Somehow this forum felt like the right place to turn to, there's a sense of somthing real going on in here. Thank you so much...

You are most welcome! All I did was write a few search criteria in Google - for some reason, some of the search results were inconsistent with the links... that happens.

I fully understand why you want to return to a recording that appealed to you... nothing worse than knowing something great is out there and you just can't find it...
