    Thanks Colin. If I start signing on as Hopalong you will know what has happened. My wifes turned out fine and I will use he same hospital and surgeon.

    Bowl of Oat Granola. Not good for me but filled me up.

    My problem was an infection which only became apparent after about 4 mths up until then I had been pain free and playing 2 games of golf a week it took over 12 mths to get rid of the infection which included 3 mths at home with a temp joint and on crutches all the time then another opp and a new replacement, all is fine now as far as the hip is concerned, it's all the other bits that keep falling off and seizing up

    Thanks Bill. My main concern is that they will keep the hip, and throw the rest away.

    A banana. Trying to undo some of the damage done over Christmas, although I am glad to say I put on less than a pound, despite stuffing myself (so to speak)

    Horrible smelly bony things, I used to find something to do in the garden or other distant spot if kippers were being cooked and comsumed;

    often described as a two faced beggar with no guts
