    An Advent Organ Interlude

    Hi Everyone,
Not been on here for a while - lots happening to me, not all good, but in the end I'm winning

I've been asked if I'd like to play an Interlude during our Advent service, and wondered if anyone had any suggestions I could tackle ... not overly complicated or too challenging (read modern) for the congregation to listen to ... something a bit more traditional maybe?.

If you have a favourite which can also be found on youtube, it'd make life a lot easier as I could have a listen and then order the music for the one I really like.

Again, apologies for not being on here - but here I am, cap in hand, asking for advice again.

    Cheers,
    Jonesey.

Hello Jonesey. Good to see you back. Hope your problems have not been too severe. Will be in your neck of the woods after Christmas. Looking forward to it.

Where are you coming to Teddy? ... if it's close to me and I'm around feel free to drop in and I'll show you the console I play if you're interested.
I'm sure it'd be OK for you to have a go as well if you wanted.

I will be staying in Aberdyfi. Its a family get together with my American cousins, one of whom I grew up with there. I would love to come and see you if I get the chance but fear the schedule may be too tight. We will only have four full days plus the nights either side. However I intend to come back down at some point to ride the little trains at which time I will certainly visit if I may

    Hi Jonesey,

Great to see you around these parts again .. we missed you

An easy interlude is the Pastorale from Messiah. Although a quite simplistic piece, it does capture the attention of the listener.

Hi Krummhorn, Thanks ... I do play that already, so was hoping for something new, and maybe a bit more challenging to play than that.
My trouble is, I play what I know, but don't know many other pieces if that makes any sense?
