    A night-time shot

Not shot by yours truly but one of the better images of where I am paid as a singer:

Nice ... so beautiful and inviting. I bet the interior is equally as splendid.

    Hello Krummhorn,

Oh yes, the interior will change according to what Feast is celebrated - Christmas and Easter Liturgies have the Cathedral interior in an exquisite setting.

Here's a shot when the Cathedral hosts the annual Sobor (Council) when the issues of the whole Russian Orthodox Church are discussed:

*If a man wants God to hear his prayer quickly, then before he prays for anything else, even his own soul, when he stands and stretches out his hands towards God, he must pray with all his heart for his enemies. Through this action God will hear everything that he asks* -Abba Zeno-

CD What fantastic photographs, and what spectacular architecture. Must be a great place to live. (Loved some of the translated captions as well).

I did not realise you were a singer. When will we get some links?.

Gorgeous! I had the privilege some years ago of attending a wedding in a small Russian Orthodox Church. Not as elaborate as this one but still splendid in its own right.
