Ok, I just did a first pass.
x64 installs OK. Good to give options where to and naming.
Now we can click on keyboards and get sound, but, with the first click the note stays on. A second click is needed to close it ..... hmmm
Liked the engine options and also that it can load 48000 and up to 24bit. We need new .organ files and sets in 24/48000. Great news !
My main complain (as with earlier v3 versions) that reloading the same set or any new, after the first opening/load, destroys GUI and it needs the mouse arroww to pass over menu bar to see the items and without background.
And of course no Asio support (you said that I know). Without it GO is useless today. I went down to 12 desired, 23ms achieved without distortion and I cannot play confortable .
My OS win7 64bit Intel dual Core T4400 at 2.2GHz, 4GBram, RealTek soundcard at 24/48000.
My HW v1.23 of 2003 does better with DSound only....hmmm
I know XP do better with DS as on win7, but I don't have XP to test :-(
jOrgan with native Fluidsynth and DS can go much better at 8/256 or even 8/128 buffers at 48000......
Also I didn't see any better improvement on controlling release samples. On staccato playin' sounds (still) like bells release. Even with 'Release sample scaling' ON.
On dry sets is OK.
So, without Asio, cannot use my ReaRouteAsio for playing GO in Reaper4 x64. Also GO has not yet a VSTi option.
Jack 1.9.8 (x86&64) for windows is also useless.
win7 have WASAPI which goes much better than DS.
I'll continue tests, for more in deep investigation
Good work ! I see lots of hard workin' hours of yours !
It's nice to have the 64bit version. Asio option or WASAPI needed though.
Best
