MERRY CHRISTMAS
We got so many presents under the Christmas tree
Santa Claus has been good to you and me
As you steal a kiss under the mistletoe
Merry Christmas to you

We got turkey and dressing smothered in cranberry sauce
We got honeybaked ham and a bottle of wine of course
In the candlelight, I propose this toast
Merry Christmas to you

Snow is falling, friends are calling
The neighborhood's dressed in white
Bells are ringing, the choir is singing
Their version of "Silent Night"

We won't forget the real meaning of this day
The day on which our Savior was born
It's Jesus Christ on my Christmas card
Merry Christmas to you
Oh yeah!

Hi Jim,

Thanx for kicking off the Christmas Spirit on MIMF. An excellent poem on which to start the festivities.

Great sentiment, Jim. Yesterday my ladywife and I went to one of the local churches for a Christmas Concert. It was a most varied program featuring the church's choir, a hand bell chorus from one of the area women's colleges and five groups from the University which is located next to the church. Their contribution included a vocal group, a wind quintet, two soloists, and a trio of instrumentalists. At the conclusion of the concert the guest organist, who directed the bell choir played the Postlude on Mendelssohn by Sir David Willcox on the churches organ.

It made a stirring conclusion to a wonderful afternoon.
