help needed to identify an OST

    Hello everyone

Would really appreciate some help with identifying an OST. I heard it featured very briefly on the TV recently (no idea what programme; I was in the other room, someone else was the one watching the TV) and recalled it was from a film, but not for the life of me can I remember which one. I believe it's from within the last decade.

The part of the OST that I heard was a single icy note on the high end of what sounded like a classical piano - I think a high b or c - which was played at a slow tiempo twice, about a second apart, and the third and fourth notes were the same but with accidentals of the note below. This pattern was then repeated. So it went b...b...b/a...b/a, b...b...b/a...b/a. Very bleak.

I may be imagining this but if memory serves me correctly the closing titles also featured and ended with that composition.

If anyone could help it is greatly appreciated, thanks!

That makes me feel better then, thanks

@gahwhatnoo when you type b...b...b/a...b etc etc is this the musical notation in other words just two notes as in A natural B natural or is representative of the rhythm or beat ?? or both.

JHC and Krummhorn, sorry I didn't explain the meaning of OST. I thought it was a technical term and also common knowledge. My apologies for that.

@JHC, yes I meant it as in the notes B natural and A natural. The periods between them were meant to represent pauses between notes. I have little technical knowledge of musical terminology so I'm not sure how to represent it accurately in text.

Bump because... I think I've found out what it is! I'm pretty sure it's from the film Moon. Soundtrack is by no other than Clint Mansell. Now I've just got to go through the soundtrack in youtube...
