A good video about a most interesting instrument:

I hope that the organ builder who has been contracted to do the renovation work will be as successful as what was done at St. Sulpice.

*If a man wants God to hear his prayer quickly, then before he prays for anything else, even his own soul, when he stands and stretches out his hands towards God, he must pray with all his heart for his enemies. Through this action God will hear everything that he asks* -Abba Zeno-

BLAST!!! Forgot to mention that there is an appeal for funding the renovation of this glorious instrument at the end of the video.
Btw, the vid doesn't start-up right away - On the video frame you need to click on the little "x" in the upper-right hand corner.

It is amazing that such a complex mechanism is still functioning well. An electro-pneumatic action instrument is much simpler.

Not really. Nor is it likely to last as long. In addition, some electrical components will become obsolete. Remember too, that there is a pneumatic element to this action: the Barker-lever machine.
