Bloke phones this morning to confirm a visit, "OK I'll be with you in about 10 minutes" ; about 10 minutes later phone rings again, bloke is now outside the door and "I rang the bell but nobody came to the door" (I happen to be in the room nearest the door) seems the bell battery has gone flat;

Whatever happened to knocking on a door, was he afraid of hurting his knuckles, or afraid of damaging the door (modern UPVC type)

(I'll replace the battery after carol singing season)

Glad we don't do that ... We have an auto censor that replaces prohibited words with asterisks. Banning someone for the word 'damn' is really petty, imho.
