• Welcome to the Pipe Organ Forum! This is a part of the open community Magle International Music Forums focused on pipe organs (also known as "church organs"), organists, organ music and related topics.

This forum is intended to be a friendly place where technically advanced organists and beginners (or even non-organists) can feel comfortable having discussions and asking questions. We learn by reading and asking questions, and it is hoped that the beginners (or non-organists) will feel free to ask even the simplest questions, and that the more advanced organists will patiently answer these questions. On the other hand, we encourage complex, technical discussions of technique, music, organ-building, etc. The opinions and observations of a diverse group of people from around the world should prove to be interesting and stimulating to all of us.

As pipe organ discussions can sometimes become lively, it should be pointed out that this is an open forum. Statements made here are the opinion of the poster, and not necessarily that of the forum itself, its administrator, or its moderators.

In order to post a new topic - or reply to existing ones - you may join and become a member by clicking on Register New User. It's completely free and only requires a working email address (in order to confirm your registration - it will never be given away!). We strive to make this a friendly and informative forum for anyone interested in pipe organs and organ music.

We don't hear much comments... does it mean everybody is busy playing music :)... which is the real purpose anyway.

I am currently preparing for a music school exam the piece "Prière" composed by Jacques-Nicolas Lemmens.
It is part of 12 Morceaux faciles pour orgue, Opus Posthumes - 1883, edited by Les Editions Outremontaises (= Pierre Gouin) and is freely available for download from IMSLP here: http://javanese.imslp.info/files/im...877-WIMA.b8a7-Lemmens_12_Morceaux_faciles.pdf

I use GO version TDM64-991 64 bit on Windows 7 64 bit without any problem.
Multichannel is working here with 3 separate stereo output channels using WDM-KS (PA) driver.

Thanks for all the efforts spend to give us a very powerful GO.

All the best.

Indeed JL,

as you say and as Erik replied.
Here too v0306 (aka TDM64 991) works fine and smooth and the enjoyment I get is beyond words.
As you imagine, yes, I'm practicing, hoping to be able to upload some good music with this v0306 and my "big" 4gb set, on my site and share with all.

Thank you all for your tremendous work bringing GO in front of VPO evolution. I hope now we will be able to produce some more sets for, like we did with Pitea.
Who knows :)

hehe

... samples per buffer is 1024 ...
... Load errors were the PoolAlloc errors in older GO versions (which shouldn't be present in current versions any more)? Or just the memory pool full warning?

1) Shift + another key works for the moment
2) The number of pixels to click on is dependend on the enclosure size. You can change the default layout with various options. I noticed that the mouse axis specification is currently broken (will be fixed shortly) - this would allow even more control.
3) The current state is already covered in older posts in this forum.
4) The ODF specification is part of the help.

0.0, samples per buffer ... done. Works better, allows more little latency
0.1, memory pool full
1 Pressing shift locks the Set button, need to press again shift to unlock. Shift-Click was nicer
2 Gone to 30 pixels, wonderful
3 yes
4 wow, at least a usefull helpfile. I was used to ignore totally F1

Polyphony question: Say I have drawn an 8' stop and the superoctave coupler on one manual, then play middle C and the C above it. There are really only three pipes sounding. Does GO count this as 3 or 4 for polyphoiny?

3 while the keys are pressed. 6 for a short time, if you release the keys - afterwards 3 in background for some time (depending on the sample set).

Just a quick one.

Latest commit 1026 is not unstable here.
Steady as rock and better than 991 (opens itself a bit quicker, loads set a tiny bit faster, applies changes on Audio & midi faster and has more temperaments!).
Great work guys !

Hi "e"

Then, something must causing this here, probably because when testing I'm using task manager to close almost any unwanted app and perform a registry cleaning. Internet connection off.
So, since my 991 test was quite a time passed and in the meantime I studied pieces with it without the above actions.
I should keep records with my settings when first time testing commits and then compare.
I was with my last impressions with 991 before staring 1026... sorry about that :-/

But, still, 1026 it is stable and the new temperaments are very welcome ! :-D

Hi
I have just tried rev 1125.
There was no sound heard using any of the output options, until the GO registry entries were deleted.
Then everything worked as normal.
@ Matt ASIO is ok here.
The easy to configure "listen for event" shortcut keys are great.
The swell pedal no longer clicks when moved quickly.
Grandorgue just gets better.

Hi.

yes I can see the revisions if I browse the site.

the url you give gives an error message in tortoise svn.
so I can't download.

Just as long as everything is ok.
