What song was #1 on the day we were born.

Some people believe our lives are profoundly influenced by whatever pop song was #1 on the day we were born.

    My number #1's are:
'You're So Vain' by Carly Simon in the US
'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' by Little Jimmy Osmond in the UK
'Ben' by Michael Jackson in Australia

Only one #1 on the chart for me:

"Manana" (Is Soon Enough for Me) sung by Peggy Lee (1920-2002).

I may have just 'antiquated' myself ...

There was no top ten in England when I was born but the USA charts list Ghost Rider in the Sky

I suppose you could say it sums me up

Yep, it was before Pontius was even an air cadet, let alone a pilot

I got into an argument about this today.
My mother had the album, and I always thought Elvis Presley had his first hit in 1951,
the year I was born. A friend says it was 1953. "Hound Dog".
It might be time to lick some 9-volt batteries and flop my wah.

Wait a sec! Yeah, you're right. Hound dog works for me.

I'm seeing comments about antiquating yourself. Please, feel honoured.
Another friend of mine just passed away, someone who worked at Union Carbide until retirement.
He also built beautiful acoustic guitars and carved award winning birds.
Jack Armbrust. He had it all.

I am sorry to hear about your friend John.

I was also born in 1951, and according to that site it was Mockin' Bird Hill - Les Paul & Mary Ford.
